About PadelPickle

PadelPickle is the UK-first platform built to make finding padel and pickleball courts painless. It marries automated data collection with on-the-ground insight so players can discover venues, compare facilities, and book a game without trawling forums.

Why we built it

The UK padel and pickleball scene is exploding, but accurate venue information lags behind. Listing sites rarely agree on addresses, opening hours are often stale, and many clubs hide key details inside PDFs or social posts. After too many nights chasing reliable info, we decided to build a single source of truth that keeps pace with the sport's growth.

PadelPickle focuses on clarity: every venue lists location, sport, booking links, and the extras that matter—indoor courts, floodlights, coaching, and more. It's a player-first directory, not an ad network.

How we stay up to date

Fresh data is essential. Automated scripts crawl the Google Places API on a UK-wide grid, merge duplicates, and follow website links to pull out amenities and booking details. We rerun those passes regularly and prioritise areas where new clubs are opening fastest.

We also listen to the community. When players flag changes—new courts, temporary closures, updated prices—we verify them and push updates into the next release cycle. That feedback loop keeps the map honest and trusted.

PadelPickle is driven by three principles:

Who's behind the project

PadelPickle is maintained by a small team of weekend players, data analysts, and curious developers. We play across London, the Midlands, and the North West, so we feel the same booking bottlenecks as everyone else. Building the site was our way of fixing the problem for ourselves and anyone else stuck in the same search.
